Why Panama City Beach
If you are from any of the surrounding States, I probably don't need to preach about the many virtues of Panama City Beach. But if you have always vacationed on the East Coast, then I have something to show you that is really extraordinary. Panama City Beach is truly one of the most beautiful places on the Planet. Originally from Northeast Pennsylvania, my Wife and I had grown tired of the harsh winters and limited time for the warm weather outdoor activities that we both loved. We spent about 10 years worth of vacations checking out communities up and down the east coast, looking for a place that had everything we were looking for. Then in 1993 while driving from Nashville to Tallahassee for business purposes, my wife suggested we 'just drive south till we hit water'. When we arrived we could not believe we were still in the States. Beautiful, sugar white sand , clear blue green water, some of the best seafood in the world and friendly locals who smiled while providing genuine friendly service. And unlike South Florida where the summer heat is stifling for months at a time, the average Summer daytime temp here is a tolerable 82 degrees.  Although Average winter daytime temp is a very mild 62 degrees, there is usually about a three week stretch where sweatshirts and long pants are called for, and we often see three or four hard frosts every winter. So although the cold may be short lived, we do still experience all four seasons.

We have miles of walking and bike paths, beautiful nature trails, nationally acclaimed state parks and world class fishing. We also boast a lively Arts and entertainment community with everything from Broadway road shows to Country Stars, from Jazz by the Bay to weekly Concerts in the Parks, from wine and cheese tastings to pig roasts.
